Jefferson has worked as the managing editor of Wine Access Magazine and as the editor of the First In Line tasting report of LCBO releases. A lighter style Barolo with Impressive character and depth for the money. Typical cherry, plum, dried apricot, herbal and slightly earthy mineral complexity. Good depth and structure with evident tannin and a long finish combining dark and dried fruit, touches of roasted nut and earthiness. Approachable now but will drink well through 2018. Currently reduced in price, this is a fruit-laden and well proportioned red suitable for slow roasted meat and grilled vegetables. Enticing raspberry and black cherry character is supported by wood spice and vanilla accents. Good weight and persistence on the finish.
